Mothers Day

Aloha bloggers,
Last week we were doing similes for our writing. Here is my writing recount. See if you can stop my good simile and if you can get a great picture of what my Mothers Day look like.

♥Mother’s Day♥

“Yay! it’s mother’s day,” I yelled with a smile on my face. I zoomed off to my mum like a tiger racing for its prey and said, “Happy mother’s day!” When she came in the kitchen I told her to sit down on the shiny couch in the sitting room, the one that moves like a bug. She was so happy! I told  her I was going to make an excellent breakfast.  I sped to the kitchen again and baked a delicious pancake. The pancake had drizzled syrup, mashed cream followed by a drop of hard sweet candy.  When my mum ate the pancake she said it was as yummy as a roasted chicken.

Hello. We have been doing some maths assessments. Here is my result for Stage 5 sequencing and ordering numbers.

I got 3/12 of the learning outcomes. I need lots of work on skip counting.

For the past weeks we have been doing persuasive writing. Here is my one about Maui and why he is a great Mythical Hero.

Hello. We have been doing some maths assessments. Here is my result for Stage 5 place value. numbers.

I got 1/8 of the learning outcomes. I need lots of work on place value.

Writing an argument.

we have been learning about the Minotaurs and the kings. King Minos and the king of Athens. We had to pretend we were the king of Athans and we had to send a letter to King Minos because he was giving the minotaur youths/little boys to eat. Here is my letter I wrote.I hope you like it.

Firstly, if you and the nine youths changed places how would you feel about getting eaten by the Minotaur?

My next reason is that it’s a very gross way of dying.  If you are one of the youths, swap bodies.  Would you like being lost in a maze and think that the oak doors are the way out but you open them and you find the death of your life?

My last reason is that if you release them, in the future they might fight for your kingdom and maybe mine too.

So probably you would agree that being eaten from a monster pet is going to be the worst death possible.
